What is Eyeliner tattoo?
Eyeliner tattoo is a semipermanent makeup procedure that tattoos a thin black liner to your lash line to mimic a drawn eyeliner. It is also known as lash liner tattoo which gives the lashline more definition. It is a similar procedure to traditional tattooing done with a tattoo machine, however an eyeliner tattoo uses a thin precise needle and is done at a shallow depth as not to cause any bleeding and minimal pain. It is also not fully permanent and fades with time and can be touched up yearly. The results are natural and enhances your natural lash line without looking obvious.
How long does eyeliner tattoo last?
Eyeliner tattoo lasts between 1 and 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and how carefully you follow your aftercare.
Will my eyeliner tattoo turn blue?
This is a common misconception about eyeliner tattoo and is caused by improper depth of the tattoo needle causing the pigments to deposit deep in the skin. This creates a permanent colour as it is unable to fade when the pigment is deposited too deep. This will cause discolouration occur over time. Our technicians are trained in skin anatomy and with newer advanced techniques that do not cause the eyeliner to turn blue.
How long does it take for the eyeliner tattoo to fully heal?
The healing time varies as every individual’s body is different. Typical healing time for eyeliner tattoo is 7- 10 days. Be aware that the colour will be darker and sharper immediately after the procedure. As the colour is deposited underneath the skin, once the the initial tattoo heals it will become lighter. A touchup appointment is needed in 6-10 weeks to complete the treatment.
How much does eyeliner tattoo treatment cost?
Eyeliner tattoo starts at $400 at our studio in Vancouver(check online booking page for any promos) If there is any old liner tattoo that needs to be corrected from the treatment done elsewhere there will be an additional $50 correction fee. A touchup treatment is also recommended to complete the initial treatment that costs $100 when done between 6-10 weeks.
How long is the appointment? Is eyeliner tattoo painful?
The appointment can be anywhere from 1-2 hours. The majority of the treatment time will be spent doing a consultation for the ideal colour and shape and then the client will be pre-numbed before treatment. Some clients find the eyeliner tattoo to be totally painless and some clients do feel moderate pain. It all depends on your pain tolerance. All clients will be pre-numbed before and numbing cream is used during the entire procedure to ensure your utmost comfort.

Accutane in the past year
Skin irritations, Psoriasis, or Eczema near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Diabetic (please consult doctor)
Chemotherapy (please consult doctor)
Epilepsy
Under 18 years old
Botox within 4 weeks of your appointment
Chemical peel within 2 weeks of your appointment
Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micro-pigmentation procedures.
Please advise your technician if any of the above apply.
If you have any previous work on your eyeliner, this is considered a new treatment. Please send a photo beforehand. Eyes with work done from another artist or studio will be subject to $50 correction fee if any colour correcting or shape correction needs to be done.
